Is not the term ‘post-racial’ quite simply ideological? Personally, I doubt that there will ever be a time in human history when race will not be a primary identification factor.
The mere fact that we can perceive race or racial differences, physical or other, makes it a fallacy to hope otherwise. I think Obama was accurate when he said during his Chicago farewell speech “… such a vision , however well intended, was never realistic.”
